Hey Ya’ll – I’ve been getting tons of requests for my Chia Pudding recipe since starting this round of Whole30 so I figured it was about time I wrote up a quick blog post on it! This is, hands down, my go-to brekkie for busy weekday mornings when I need to be able to grab & go so to speak! This is an excellent meal option on or off Whole30 and something you can prepare in advance – always a win here on the farm!
Here’s What You’ll Need Per Serving:
✅Just under 1 Cup of Almond Milk
✅3 TBSP of Chia Seeds
Let’s Get Started:
The genius behind this brekkie is that it is made the night before you plan on eating it, so this recipe starts in the evening. I typically make these between 6.00-8.00pm while I’m prepping lunches & dinner for the evening.
I like using these Ball Jars – but any small tupperware container would do here – again you’ll wanna use something you’ll grab & throw into your bag on your way out the door.
1. Start by adding your almond milk to your jar
2. Next add in your 3 TBSP of Chia Seeds
3. Stir Stir Stir
4. Let the mixture sit on the counter for 3-5 minutes
5. Stir Stir Sir
6. That’s it for your prep work the night before – throw on your lid & toss these in the fridge overnight (or for at least 6-8 hours)
7. The next morning while you’re running around doing the 34839475 things you do before you head off to school, work or wherever your headed that day – grab your Chia Pudding from the fridge & get ready for toppings, glorious, glorious toppings.
8. I know – I said this was a grab & go brekkie – I promise adding toppings only takes 2 minutes & I suppose COULD be done the night before but I like waiting til the morning, because, well, that’s just how I’ve always done it!
9. Just before adding your toppings of choice (mine are listed below!) I’d recommend a quick stir of your pudding.
Gimme the Good Stuff, Here’s What I like:
-
1 TBSP Raw Almond Butter
-
Pepitas
-
Raw Cacao Nibs
-
Goji Berries
-
Flax Seeds
-
If I’m feeling extra naughty – a bit of coconut cream (Whole30 Compliant of course!)
-
Fruit – right now I’m using blackberries.
-
Pomegranate Seeds are lovely here, as are any other berry – banana’s would work great too!
-
Here’s What The Farmer Likes:
-
1 TBSP Raw Almond Butter
-
Pepitas
-
Flax Seeds
-
Dried Organic Cranberries
-
Fresh Cranberries
It’s just that simple y’all!
Tighten your lid & you’re ready to run out the door – don’t forget your coffee though – ain’t nobody got time for that!
I highly recommend giving Chia Pudding a try even if you’re not doing Whole30 – it’s a great alternative for brekkie that’s super healthy & delicious too! Not to mention, super versatile – there are so many options here!
One of our favorite variations to mix up during harvest is adding 1 TBSP of Organic Canned Pumpkin to the mix the night before along with a pinch of Pumpkin Pie Spice – YAAAS – I’m one of those people – if you are too, you’ve gotta try this one I promise you’ll love it!
Give this a try, I can’t wait to hear what you think!
Bon Appétit!
Yum! Looks delicious and a great idea!
